Blogs of Note

This week's module in class dealt a lot with blogs. Below is a list of blogs worth checking out. A couple of them I visit, others are those that I discovered through my classmates. The truth of the matter is that I just don't have time to religiously visit as many blogs as I would like, although some of these may get a more regular visit.

I stumbled across your blog from a pointer over at Colin McEnroe's blog. Colin is a radio host on WTIC who is teaching a class in blogging at Trinity.

I'm an old guard blogger. These days, I do most of my personal blogging at Orient Lodge. I also write for a group blog, Greater Democracy. I received credentials from the DNC to blog the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, and most of my posts about the convention went on Greater Democracy.

I am also BlogMaster for Mayor John DeStefano's Gubernatorial campaign.

As part of that, I try to track as much as possible about what is going on in the Connecticut Blogosphere as possible.

I use Bloglines to track a lot of blogs and I have a large section on Connecticut blogs. I set up a seperate section for the QU class. I don't know if you use Blogline, but you might want to check out http://www.bloglines.com/public/ahynes1.

It seems like your class has been talking about favorite blogs, and I thought I would highlight two blogs in Connecticut that I've found particularly touching.

Carie has just announced her engagement in a couple of wonderful blog posts and Joe has just gotten through heart surgery. You should check them out.

One final comment. You might want to suggest that your classmates either add word verification, and/or disallow anonymous comments. (I realize this might bring up issues of censorship...) They are getting comment spam.

aldon - Thanks for your great links. Perhaps I should start a new posting compiling blogs submitted by others.

Thanks for the link on your site. I am adding yours to my page to help give Connecticut bloggers more of a forum to express themselves.

It's a great community out there, and I am proud to be a part of it!
