Can I Drive Traffic?

I'm in the midst of an experiment with my two blogs. I am registering with as many blog registration engines that I can. Through the stats that I run on my site, I have noticed a marked increase in traffic since I registered with Connecticut Weblogs. I have also claimed my two site urls on Technorati, as well as registered on Globe of Blogs.

Suggestions that anyone may have to increase my online exposure would be greatly appreciated. I'm curious to see what, if anything, changes with this.

Maybe I should start out all grassroots-like or something... TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!

I would really recommend that you check out Pingomatic.com . If you ping them, they will ping lots of sites for you, which helps get you more noticed.

I am also a big fan of commenting in other peoples blogs. You start talking with them on their blog, and they are more likely to stop over at yours.

Finally, I would suggest checking out some of the click exchanges. Check out the profiles I have on the lower left hand corner of my blog, sites like Blog Explosion, BlogClicker, Blogazoo etc. While you're there, take a look at GeoURL and My BlogMap. They provide ways of locating your blog geographicly. As an example, I stumbled across your blog in my continuing exploration of Connecticut blogs.
