Carma

What goes around comes around...

Yesterday, The Boy had to take his car into the shop for some routine maintenance. I worked from home in order to shuttle him back and forth. After we dropped the car off, I decided to take my car to be washed. I've been trying to wash it once a month or so, but the weather has been so bad between rain and snow that I haven't been able to. It came out looking shiny and brand new. I was a happy camper.

I parked in the driveway instead of the garage, because we were going to have to go back out to pick up his car later in the day. The Boy comes in from outside and tells this exchange happens

Boy: You'll never believe what happened. A bird pooped on your car.
Me: Seriously? We just got home!
Boy: Oh yeah... and not just a little one either.
Me: Shut up... you're lying.
Boy: I'm serious! It looks like it hit you in more than one spot.
Me: I just washed the car!!

At this point he cracks up like the little boy that he is and informs me that he was kidding. I quickly ran outside and pulled my car into the garage.

A few hours later, he comes home from getting his car. He stopped to get his car washed too, but they lost his antenna. I went outside to help him search his car, when I saw it. No, not the antenna... a giant bird poop in the middle of his hood! I was jumping up and down in the driveway in full frontal mockery mode. Later that evening, I went to put something in the back of the car and realized he had been hit there, too!

That's what you get, my love... that's what you get.
