Home Sweet Home
Well, it's official... we're homeowners!!

We're finally in our new house and are slowly but surely getting things put into their place. We're so busy between this, work, and school, we're hanging by a thread. But we have the rest of our lives to settle in.
The move itself was very stressful, as they often are. We got our 26 foot U-haul truck packed up in about three hours (thanks, Vin!), and we on our way. Now, our house is on top of a hill and our driveway is pretty steep. The Boy successfully navigates the truck to our new house and we watch from our porch as he turns up the driveway. I can't even describe to you the awful scraping noise that truck made as it bottomed out on the road. The back axle isn't close to the tailgate, and the back wheels of the truck lifted off the ground. Did I mention that this truck is rear wheel drive? Yeah... Everyone up at the house was trapped since the truck was in the driveway... including 5 very bored kids. I stayed surprisingly calm, although I probably would have snapped if there weren't so many people around.
So, after many experiments and much swearing, a wrecker comes out and pulls the truck back to solid ground. I have to say that the local police department was extremely helpful. Anyways, after all of this, we call it a night and try to think of a plan B. We ended up parking the truck at the bottom of the hill and renting a van to shuttle things up and down. My brother was fantastic over the course of the two days. He coordinated the packing of the truck and also was able to get us a second van and a pickup truck, which made the going a lot quicker.
Our friends and family were fantastic through this all in general... It's times like these when you find out who truly loves you, and we're very lucky people.
All the aggrivation was worth it, though:
