Dear Mr. Junior Biz Dev Guy,

A word of advice... If you're putting together a sales pitch and presentation and then following it up with a lengthy proposal, it might be a good idea to confirm the spelling of the company's name.

Oh, yeah... and don't ever use the word synergy in a sales pitch either.

I think our two companies have some great synergies!
Ugh!

That is all.

From the dark recesses of my overtaxed brain, a blast from the past:

Halloween Dilemma

Here it is, less than a week to Halloween and three days until our party extravaganza. We've been invited to three parties, none of which we can miss. The only thing is that we can't think of any costumes to wear. We've been so overwhelmed with everything that we're at a total loss for what to do.

Does anyone out there on the interweb have any suggestions?

Life in the Woods

I had to do a project for a video class that I'm taking. We had to do an architectural study, so what better subject than my new house? Check it out!

Home Sweet Home

Well, it's official... we're homeowners!!

Homeowners!

We're finally in our new house and are slowly but surely getting things put into their place. We're so busy between this, work, and school, we're hanging by a thread. But we have the rest of our lives to settle in.

The move itself was very stressful, as they often are. We got our 26 foot U-haul truck packed up in about three hours (thanks, Vin!), and we on our way. Now, our house is on top of a hill and our driveway is pretty steep. The Boy successfully navigates the truck to our new house and we watch from our porch as he turns up the driveway. I can't even describe to you the awful scraping noise that truck made as it bottomed out on the road. The back axle isn't close to the tailgate, and the back wheels of the truck lifted off the ground. Did I mention that this truck is rear wheel drive? Yeah... Everyone up at the house was trapped since the truck was in the driveway... including 5 very bored kids. I stayed surprisingly calm, although I probably would have snapped if there weren't so many people around.

So, after many experiments and much swearing, a wrecker comes out and pulls the truck back to solid ground. I have to say that the local police department was extremely helpful. Anyways, after all of this, we call it a night and try to think of a plan B. We ended up parking the truck at the bottom of the hill and renting a van to shuttle things up and down. My brother was fantastic over the course of the two days. He coordinated the packing of the truck and also was able to get us a second van and a pickup truck, which made the going a lot quicker.

Our friends and family were fantastic through this all in general... It's times like these when you find out who truly loves you, and we're very lucky people.

All the aggrivation was worth it, though:
